Equestrian Vacations Are the Best

Equestrian Vacations are one of the most effective ways of quickly wiping out the ravages of a hectic high pressure job. While you are riding you have to be concentrating on what you are doing and you have to take your mind off your work. The soothing motion of the horse in harmony with your own helps bring peace to mind and spirit. Sharing the experience with a responsive creature like a horse is far more satisfying than sharing it with a car, a motor cycle, an airplane, a parachute or a scuba diving tank and few human companions will give you the same unquestioning loyalty and cooperation.

Riding is also excellent exercise and gives people a good reason to keep their weight at a healthy level; both out of respect for the horse and to allow the rider to perform at his optimum. If the rider is overweight, the strain on muscles is greater and it is more difficult to keep in balance. Overweight riders are also more likely to take a fall than those who carry little fat. To get the most out of your equestrian vacations you need to be in the best physical shape possible and stay there. The horse you ride will be grateful, you will feel better and you will be able to do more. If you can’t ride frequently enough, many other forms of exercise will help keep you in shape. Jogging, tennis, biking and even walking help get off weight and build muscles as well as improving the cardiovascular system. It is far easier for most of us to get exercise when we are out doing something which requires concentration. Equestrian vacations fill the bill.
